I have been writing about science and medicine for close to twenty years now, first as a journalist and columnist, and more recently–over the past five or six years–as an author.
My books include Codebreaker: The History of Codes and Ciphers from the Ancient Pharaohs to Quantum Cryptography, The Origins of the Universe for Dummies, and The Intelligence Equation.
My journalism has appeared regularly in The Financial Times, Nature, The Australian, The Scientist, the Lancet, the British Medical Journal, The Sydney Morning Herald, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s website. For seven years, I was an editor at Reuters Health in New York and London.
